“From a very early age, perhaps the age of five or six, I knew that when I grew up I should be a writer. Between the ages of about seventeen and twenty-four I tried to abandon this idea, but I did so with the consciousness that I was outraging my true nature and that sooner or later I should have to settle down and write books.”

    — Jack Kerouac, On the Road

  9. Hey everybody! Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, I’ve been busy with school, but I’m done now! And I’ve made it my mission to read all I can this summer. I just finished A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess, which is an incredible book if you have not read it yet. I highly recommend it. Now I’ve started On The Road by Jack Kerouac. So look forward to more posts from me this summer!
